Through out the years many people have been involved in the project as interns or volunteers. The project is a huge undertake and without the support of all those helping hands it would be impossible. To be an volunteer or intern at the Creative Centre is to become a part of the tight knitted team that runs the Factory, – a member of the family.
Every year people from all over the world join us up as volunteers for longer or shorter periods. Usually we try to match people with specific tasks that suit their skills and are happening in the Centre at each time.
Many tasks at the Centre require carpentry and construction skills and good physique. To be a jack of all trades is always a favourable quality. By this we are not saying that you need to be a professional builder (we are all self thought our selves) but it is good to have some skills and experience.
We usually work 5 days a week and 8 hours a day and in return for you efforts we provide you with an accommodation. Sometimes our volunteers come through the Erasmus Internship Program, which helps them to fund their stay.

Internship – Residency Manager Assistant
Each year we have 2 internship positions available for an Art Residency Assistant. The duration of each internship is 6 months. The first period is from 1st of January to 31st of June. The second period is from 1st of July to 31st of December.
Our interns are provided with an accommodation, a private room in the Artist House, and he/she can use the facilities and workshops in the factory for their own creative projects. We work 5 days a week and 8 hours a day. We are not able to provide salaries so we recommend that you look into whether you are applicable to funds of any sorts such as the Erasmus Internship Program in agreement with your University.
We are looking for people who are able to assist us with running our residency program. It is important to be able to work independently, have excellent English, be able to manage bookings and reply to requiring emails from artists in a professional manner. The ability to keep a good overview and to be organized is important. An understanding and connection to art related organizations is helpful. It is also vital for this internship to have a driving license, for shopping trips and airport pick-ups.
We ask our interns to manage public relations and social media outputs for the factory. That includes the making and managing of “Open Calls” for the residency program and to promote it in social media and on artist residency networks, to write posts and publish photos on this webpage and on our facebook, to make and design posters for events and concerts, to create video interviews with our Residency Artists and the editing of them.
To be an intern at the Creative Centre is to become a part of the tight knitted team that runs the Factory. Therefore the internship is not only about assisting with the artist residency, it is also about helping out with all the daily tasks, f.x related to concerts or other things needed, like moving furniture, painting walls or shoveling snow… and to party with us, sing and play music.
