In 2024, the Residency Fee includes a 4-week residency period, and access to the Workshops & Facilities in the Centre, in consultation with a team member and based on individual skills. This access excludes Studio Silo, which can be booked for an additional fee. Artists are also provided with Accommodation, a private bedroom in one of the Artists’ houses. Upon arrival, each Artist gets a towel and bed linen. In the houses, we provide internet connection, toilet paper, products for house cleaning, and washing machine soap.

On arrival, we provide a pick up from the Egilsstaðir Airport, and this is limited to the 1st and 2nd day of your residency period. Other expenses, such as transport, meals, and art supplies, are the responsibility of each participant. Additionally, departure transportation on or before the last day of your residency period is the responsibility of each participant. Please note that buses to the airport do not run on weekends. You can find more information about transport in General Information.

Confirmation Fee

A deposit of 35.000 ISK for residency period is to be paid within 7 days of receiving the invitation to the programme. The reservation of your residency will only be confirmed after this payment has been received. This Confirmation fee will be subtracted from the total of the Residency Fee. Please note that Confirmation Fee is non–refundable, though it is transferable for up to one year within your original booking.

Residency Fee

The Residency fee is to be paid no less than 12 weeks before your arrival and you will receive an invoice 14 days in advance. The Confirmation fee which has already been paid will be subtracted from the total of the Residency Fee.

Rescheduling Policy

Rescheduling of your Residency stay is possible, with a new reservation taking place no later than one year of the original booking. If needing to reschedule then you must contact us at least 90 days prior to your Residency. Your outstanding Residency Fee must be paid in full in order to confirm the revised booking.

The Residency Fee is no longer refundable after you have rescheduled your original booking.

We are not able to accommodate a second rescheduling of your residency stay. An exception to this rule applies if participating artists are not able to travel due to a travel ban in Iceland or their home country. Traveling to and from Iceland and the preparation of required documents for travel is the responsibility of each Residency artist.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received more than 60 days in advance of your Residency stay will receive a 50% refund on the Final Residency Fee. Note that the Confirmation Fee is non-refundable.

Cancellations received less than 60 days in advance of your Residency stay are not eligible for a refund.

If you wish to cancel your Residency stay and you have already rescheduled your original booking before, the Residency fee is non-refundable.
